For most of us when we think of travelling around Europe we would reflect on the more sunny places. From relaxing on a beach in Spain to spending some time in Italy or sampling some food in Greece. Norway might not be at the top of your list for luxurious European destinations, but as a country, it has a lot to offer tourists and seasoned holidaymakers alike. As a destination, it is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and there are fantastic attractions, but there are also places to relax and soak up the culture. Here are a few.
Europe offers so many cultures, culinary delights, and climates. No wonder it is such a holiday favourite, no matter where you’re from. There are plenty of choices, and the ease of travel from country to country on the mainland makes it a traveller’s delight too. Best of all, it’s still pretty easy to hop over for a spur-of-the-moment long weekend. Here’s where to head to for each season of the year:
If you’re a keen skier then you’ve more than likely been to your fair share of ski resorts. You’ve most likely experienced what it’s like to ski in each of the countries most famous for snow topped mountains and the resorts the sit at their feet. You’ve probably even been to your fair share of ski towns for some after-slope refreshments. However, as good as it is to see and experience different kinds of slopes and ski resorts, wouldn’t it be nice to find the one that is perfect for you? Wouldn’t it be great to be able to plant your flag firmly into the ground of a piste (metaphorically, of course) and decide that this is the one for you? If you’re in the process of finding your perfect piste paradise, then make sure to take heed of the three great pistes listed below before you come to your final decision!
Lake Tahoe received lots of snow this new year and we didn’t waste a second getting into snowball fights!
This one was fun to make 🙂
